The Special Rapporteur on adequate housing

The Special Rapporteur on adequate housing as a component of the right to an adequate standard of living was appointed by the Commission on Human Rights in 2000. His main assignment is to report on the status of the realization of housing rights throughout the world, including through dialogue and collaboration with UN-HABITAT, particularly within the framework of the Global Campaign for Secure Tenure and the United Nations Housing Rights Programme. A more comprehensive introduction to the mandate of the Special Rapporetur is available at the OHCHR web-site.

The reports prepared by the Special Rapporteur (and other recent material) are available at the housing section of the OHCHR web-site. A more comprehensive list of Commission on Human Rights documents on adequate housing is also available.
