"Urban Trialogues" is about inclusive planning for sustainable urban development. It contains theory and practice relating to the Local Agenda 21 Programme (LA21), which focuses on environmental planning and management in urban areas. The book presents case studies from various towns and cities around the world and relates these to the LA21 concepts. It is targeted at urban planners and managers, community developers, scholars and decision-makers on urban issues.

The SCP Tools

The SCP Tools are a collection of manuals that can be used to inform, support and guide the environmental planning process in cities. They have been developed over the years and are based on SCP's practical experience in many cities.

The tools are intended for users involved in environmental planning and management, that is, local authority officials, policy makers, political leaders, NGOs, CBOs, the private sector and other city stakeholders. As they draw from the experiences of many different cities, they are easily adapted and can be applied to any city situation. They are written and designed in a friendly, non-technical style, and have numerous examples and illustrations .

General Publications

In addition to the topic specific or process specific publications, SCP has developed over the years a number of publications of a more general nature. These publications provide a broad view of the SCP, and include brochures and flyers.

Meeting reports

It has been the practice, over the years, for SCP to hold a global meeting every two years. In addition, regional meetings are held as and when necessary. The meetings bring together the different partners of the programme. They provide a forum for exchange of lessons and experience, to discuss topic/process specific issues, and to provide input into the development of new tools.

Newsletter

The SCP Newsletter has been revived! The newsletter is produced 2 to 3 times a year, and it provides up-to-date information on what is happening in the SCP world.
