What is the World Urban Forum?
UN-HABITAT established the World Urban Forum to examine one of the most pressing issues facing the world today.  It is held every two years.

Where will WUFIII be held?
WUFIII will be held on the site of Vancouver Convention and Exhibition Centre, by the waterfront in Vancouver.

How do I register and book accommodation?
To participate in WUFIII, you will need to register on-line via the http://hq.unhabitat.org/wuf/2006/registration.asp web site. Registration is now open and there is no registration fee. We highly recommend that you book your accommodation early to take advantage of the preferential rates negotiated by the local organizer on behalf of the Government of Canada.

Will my ticket be paid?
Due to budgetary constraints, UN-HABITAT is unable to provide financial assistance for participants but will support one government delegate and one representative from accredited Habitat Agenda Partners from each of the least developed countries, subject to the level of voluntary contributions we receive. Priority will be given to participants that have a specific role in the conference.

How do I get a visa?
Many of the participants travelling from outside Canada will need to obtain a visa to allow them entry into the country. Please contact your nearest visa office for more information on obtaining a visa. For more information on visa, see http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/index.html.

Yes, the deadline for side event applications was 07 May 2006.
