Forum must be accredited by UN-HABITAT. Accreditation is strictly reserved for members of the press - print media, photo, radio, TV, film and news agencies.

To obtain media accreditation, you need to present valid press credentials including:

1. Letter of assignment on official letterhead of a media organization signed by the Publisher/Assignment Editor, Editor-in-chief or Bureau Chief, specifying the name and functional title of the journalist.
2. Photocopy of a valid press card/work pass if applicable.
3. Photocopy of photo ID e.g passport /national identification.

Media accreditation approval is not automatic, verification and approval must be validated by UN-HABITAT media officials; a message will be sent to advise you whether your application for accreditation has been accepted.

International media personnel are responsible for taking the necessary arrangement to get the visa to visit Canada: Visa info

No double accreditation is allowed (e.g. as press and NGO).

In addition to all of the above, freelance professionals must include at least three articles, published in 2004/5, with their by-line.

When you arrive at the conference venue, present your photo Id, press card and confirmation of accreditation from UN-HABITAT.
